María Florencia Ferreira
Marine Biologist | Trainer
I’m a PhD student at the University of Buenos Aires, Argentina. In the last years, I have been involved in research projects studying the impact of anthropic pollution in fish reproduction. In particular, I have worked with Antarctic and sub-Antarctic species. However, I have always felt passionate about the marine fauna as a whole. I am interested in understanding how human activities affect the marine ecosystem and developing measures to mitigate their impact. I have also worked as a volunteer in conservation programs in Uruguay, Ecuador and Bolivia and those experiences made me want to keep collaborating with people internationally. I joined the Red Sea Project in order to create environmental awareness in the community by sharing knowledge in an inclusive and accessible way.
